When my husband died twenty months ago, a nurse advised me to contact Solace. She believed that having spent more than half of a century with my husband, could give rise to intensive grief. She was right. Due to my rural location I joined the Solace, online group. It felt wonderful to be among people who, like me, were living and working through the challenges of grief. It has proven to be a rewarding and supportive connection to be among those who truly know and understand the emptiness and sorrow caused by the death of a loved one.

Talk or Listen, in a non-threatening environment, to others who have been through the trauma of losing their loved one through death. A simple way to remove fear is to seek support and understanding. In the 1990’s, I developed a close friendship with a Franciscan priest from America. He had come to Australia to teach the Silva method. He invited me to one of his lectures. I immediately saw the human value of such learning. I organised to do the course. My late husband Paul a naturopath, my older brother a businessman, and his wife an academic, accompanied me. The two day course changed their lives forever. It offered me deeper insight into my intuitive self and expanded the perception of the inner working of the human mind and the intuitive self.
