1950’s….Quick to grow more astute, year after year.
As a very young child I saw colours around the torso of people, and around plants, insects and animals.
I would sit on the front steps of our house to watch the auras of the people walking by. At the age of four, I would climb a ladder to look over a fence at the auras of the people, waiting at the bus stop. The innocent truth of my prophetic dreams and clair-cognisanse, caused my mother to fully engage and listen to my every word. e.g. I loudly protested to stop my father from taking my little brother in the car with him. So my mother kept my brother at home. Twenty minutes later two policemen came to the door to report that my father’s car had been crushed by a truck. My father had minor injuries, but he was lucky that he didn’t have any passengers with him as they would have died instantly. My insight shook the entire family.
My mother provided a safe haven in which I could share my aura experiences. She enlisted the help of her mother and older sister, Doreen. They could be trusted to listen, and not judge or criticise. Consequently, my grandmother and my Aunty, took responsibility for my care during school holidays and when babysitting was required. When I was eight years old my grandmother died. During my young and senior school years and into adulthood, Aunty Doreen enriched and nurtured me. During the developing years of childhood, these motherly women ensured that I maintained both emotional and psychological balance. And not labelled as freak. Coaxing me to grow within their loving cocoon.
I spent several young years trying to fathom the meaning of each colour and the significance of colourful patterns woven together in plaits, cords, checks, stripes, spears, interconnected columns and transparent clouds.
My young school years taught me to be both cautious and suspicious. I could see lies, deceit, fears, personality traits and a person’s hidden agenda. I couldn’t trust my teachers either. In the school playground I sat quietly and alone.
Concerned for my personal development, my mother taught me that everyone has a tendency to tell lies and be deceitful. And it was only to be feared, when harmful to others. She had me examine the auras of the people who I knew I could trust. My brothers, my father, herself and my grandparents. From this point onwards, I began to cautiously make friends at school. However, in my preteens and teenage years, the challenge of constantly seeing auras, without respite, caused me to become a loner.
